Srinagar, Nov 5 (ANI): A separatist leader and chairman of the moderate faction of All Parties Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference (APHC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, called for a complete shutdown on Wednesday (November 05). The strike call comes in the wake of the killing of two youths by the Army in Budgam district on Monday evening, soon after which there was a complete shutdown in the region to protest the incident. Security personnel have been deployed in Srinagar to prevent any untoward incident. As per local media reports, two youths were killed in Army firing after they did not stop at check points in Budgam district. The Army had received information on the movement of militants in Budgam after which they set up three check points. The youths did not stop at any point, which led security personnel to fire at them. The ruling party in the state, National Conference (NC), condemned the incident and demanded probe into the matter. Defence Minister, Arun Jaitley, has also condemned the incident and said an enquiry would be set up to investigate the matter.
