Saina Nehwal could not get a victory in her third group game of the BWF World Superseries Finals 2015 in Dubai on Friday as she lost a three-setter against Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei. The final score read  21 16, 18 21, 14 21. 

The Indian star, who produced a brilliant performance to outclass world number 1 Carolina Marin on Thursday, could not get past Ying although she produced a strong fightback in the third set to bring the score to 13-18 from 13-9. 

She has now bowed out of the competition after finishing third from Group A of the women's singles category. Japan's Nozomi Okuhara and Spain's Marin have moved to the semifinals from the group.

The other Indian in the competition, Kidambi Srikanth, also made the exit from the tournament after picking up three defeats on the trot. Srikanth lost to Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen with a 21-17, 21-13 score in the men's singles Group B game today, to finish fourth in the group.

Kento Momota and Viktor Axelsen made it to the semifinals from the group.
