Sonipat, Oct 26 (ANI): Burglars robbed a bank in Sonipat after digging a tunnel, said a senior police officer on Tuesday. Robbers broke into the locker room of a branch of state-run Punjab National Bank by digging a 100-feet long tunnel from a nearby unoccupied decaying house. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajiv Deshwal, said teams had been formed to investigate the crime after registering the First Information Report (FIR). Bank Manager, Devendra Malik said that the extent of loss cannot be estimated at present. Some of the bank customers were inconsolable, as they lost their precious ornaments and gems.
