BSE Sensex Starts Trading at 24,571 Points, Investors Await New PoliciesReuters

The BSE Sensex took off at 24,571.13 points on Wednesday, 28 May, at 9.00 am and rose to 24,607.5 within six minutes in the pre-open time slot.

While it held at 24,591.61 for some time, it plunged to 24,579.17 minutes later. The sensex picked up its momentum at 9.17 am reaching a high of 24,603.8, but recorded a sudden dip of 45.82 points clocking the figure at 24,557.98 points under selling pressure.

Currently, it is trading at 24,640.08 points, which is 91.69 points higher than it started and about 0.37 percent more.

On Tuesday, the BSE index fell 0.68 percent. Investors are awaiting new policies from Prime Minister Marendra Modi and his cabinet, and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has promised to bring new reforms to restore investor confidence and revamp public finances.
