A woman did an underwater photo shoot, wearing the wedding dress she never got to wear, to say goodbye to her fiance who passed away two months before their big day.

According to BuzzFeed, Janine and John were all set to walk down the aisle but the unexpected death of the latter, just weeks before the wedding, shattered her dreams.

But Janine then decided to deal with the grief by doing a photo shoot. She wished to be photographed jumping into Riviera Maya, Mexico, wearing the same wedding dress.

The pictures were taken by Matt Adcock, a photographer for Del Sol Photography. In his blog, he shared the experience of taking Janine's pictures and the motive behind the decision. He also pointed out he had never been more inspired in his 10-year career.

"After I heard Janine's story, I really wanted to do what I could to create a magical adventure for her," Adcock stated on his blog. He further stressed that Janine felt a strong connection with the elements of water.

In a video, Janine is seen saying she wanted to feel free. She says she did the photo shoot because the dress belonged to the wedding day and became a symbol of her sorrow, from which she wanted to move on. The heavy dress felt so light in the water, she added.

"When I did this photo shoot I had the best time I actually had fun for the 1st time in 3 month since Johnny passed away," Janine said in the interview. "I really felt that Johnny was smiling down at me and finally giving me closure that I can live my life in a positive way."
