At around 11 am, tweet from Sony Six's official twitter account hinted that the bout might be made available in India. Though nothing had been confirmed then.
The tweet read - "We have an exciting news coming your way soon! Here's a hint: #TheBigFightOnSIX. RT & spread the word. Any guesses?"
It is this tweet, which had initially excited Indian fans.
The live coverage of the event starts from 6:30am (IST), but the mega fight between Money and Pac-Man is expected to start only at 8:30am.
With the fight between the two best pound-for-pound boxers being made official, the channel has also had to make some alterations in their original TV schedule to prove a slot for the fight of the century. They were originally scheduled to show the NBA Playoffs game between San Antonio Spurs and Clippers, but they have moved the game to Sony Pix for those who are interested in watching Tim Duncan and other basketball stars.
Indian boxing fans are very happy with Sony Six and have even applauded the channel on Twitter for bringing the event live to India as well.
Ameer tweeted - "#TheBigFightOnSIX. Thankfull for telecast LIVE@SonySIX & KIX." Awaiting for big fight."
