After "Director's Special" and "Raate", Dhananjay is back with his third outing "Boxer" directed by Preetham Gubbi. The movie has Kruthika Jayakumar in the role of female lead.
Taking a breaking from his usual romantic-comedy films, Preetham Gubbi has tried to churn out an intense flick. The movie has a good story with emotions. The prime attraction of the film is Dhananjay, who has put in a lot of hard work to get in shape to play a boxer.
"Boxer" tells the story of an orphan, who just knows to kick and be kicked. He is a part-time fighter and does various other jobs to keep himself busy. A blind girl enters his life and changes his life drastically. The story takes a twist when he leaves for Bangkok. What happens next forms the crux of the story.
Dhananjay is highly impressive in his role and Kruthika does justice to her character. Rangaya Raghu and Sumithra are good. V Harikrishna's music is average and the cinematography is top notch.
