Nagarjuna and Karthi-starrer "Thozha" has been declared a hit in Chennai. The multilingual movie, which had got a good opening, performed well in its second weekend in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

"Thozha" had 156 shows from which it earned Rs 60.51 lakh and its 10-day collection stands at Rs 2.58 crore in Chennai, reports Behindwoods. It had collected Rs 1.14 crore from 258 shows in its opening weekend.

New release "Hello Naan Pei Pesuren" is off to a decent start in Chennai despite getting mixed reviews. It has raked in Rs 37.55 lakh from 150 shows. The other release, "Darling 2," which was riding on good expectations, failed to strike gold at the Chennai box office.

"Darling 2" earned Rs 27.62 lakh from 126 shows. The success of this film along with "Hello Naan Pei Pesuren" now depends a lot on how it will perform on the weekdays.

Bollywood movie "Ki and Ka" has done well in its first weekend. The film earned Rs 23.93 lakh from 84 shows. Hollywood movie "Kung Fu Panda 3" has also been received well by Chennai cine-goers. It raked in Rs 20.93 lakh from 84 shows in its opening weekend. It is likely to perform well given the positive vibes around it.

After making Rs 81.26 lakh from 237 shows in its opening weekend, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" collected Rs 7.86 lakh from 42 shows in its second weekend. The 10-day collection of the movie stands at Rs 1.37 crore.

Nakul-starrer "Narathan" has done business of Rs 5.85 lakh from 54 shows, while Hansika Motwani and Siddhu's "Uyire Uyire" has earned Rs 4.54 lakh from 54 shows, and Malayalam movie "Kali" collected Rs 3.53 lakh from 18 shows to take its 10-day collection to Rs 20.05 lakh in Chennai this weekend.

Previous week's release "Zero" collected Rs 2.37 lakh from 21 shows to take its 10-day collection to Rs 21.36 lakh, and Vijay Anthony-starrer "Pichaikaaran" did business worth Rs 2.13 lakh from 21 shows to take its total collection to Rs 2.53 crore.
