Akshay Kumar's "Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) did well on its fourth day, but it is Irrfan Khan starrer "Talvar" that performed excellently on Monday at the domestic box office.

Singh is Bliing (Singh Is Bling)

Akshay's film earned approximately Rs 7.1 crore on its fourth day, which took its four-day total to Rs 61.54 crore. The film witnessed a heavy drop on Monday, but considering Friday was a national holiday the drop on Monday is normal.

"#SinghIsBliing crosses ₹ 50 cr mark in its opening weekend. Sun was ROCKING. Fri 20.67 cr, Sat 14.50 cr, Sun 19.27 cr. Total: ₹ 54.44 cr," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the opening weekend collection.

"Singh is Bliing" is looking to finish its first week run on a good note, but it remains to be seen how it will perform after the release of "Jazbaa".

Meanwhile, the film has shattered records in the overseas market as it emerged as Akshay's highest opener of 2015.

"SINGH IS BLIING has performed well in the overseas markets. It has collected approx. 2.5 mil. USD [16.5 crores] in its opening weekend. If comparisons have to be drawn with Akshay's earlier releases, then GABBAR IS BACK had collected 1.5 mil. USD whereas BROTHERS had collected 2.41 mil. USD in their opening weekend," Bollywood Hungama reported.

Talvar

Irrfan Khan starrer "Talvar" minted approximately Rs 1.75 crore on Monday. Compared to Friday, the drop in its fourth day business is just 30%.

The four-day box office collection of "Talvar" now stands at Rs 11 crore.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film features Irrfan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Neeraj Kabi in lead roles.
