Horror thriller "Ragini MMS 2" performed well on its fifth day earning ₹3.81 crore. Sunny Leone starrer has been going steady during the weekdays.

Within its opening weekend only, the film managed to earn its production cost of ₹18 crore. The horror thriller is now making profits for the producers.

"#RaginiMMS2 Tue 3.81 cr. Total: ₹ 32.91 cr nett. India biz," trade analyst Taran Adrash tweeted.

The film is doing well at the box office, but it has received flak from Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) who demanded to ban the screening of the film.

"Notorious pornstar Sunny Leone plays a lead role in the film. By making use of Shri Hanuman, a deity known to have control over his organs and whose character was ideal, religious sentiments of Hindus have been hurt to a great extent," the HJS memorandum told Press Trust of India, reported Indian Express.

If the film is banned, it will affect the collections at the box office drastically.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut's "Queen" is getting very good response from overseas market even after completing two weeks run.

The women oriented film is still going houseful in USE circuits. The demand for the film is so high that the theater owners have to increase the number of screens and show times.

"We opened up additional shows, moved to larger screens and even operated later where we could to ensure that as many people that wanted to see this movie were able to, but it kept selling out. It's now going strong into its fourth week," Imran Haider, acting operations director at Gulf Film and Grand Cinemas, Dubai, told Emirates 24/7.

"Queen" with its excellent box office run and reviews has proved that a film without Khan-superpower can also do well.
