"Naanum Rowdy Thaan" has continued to do well at the US box office. The Tamil movie has managed to beat many movies including "Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2", but couldn't overpower "Shaandaar" and "Kanche".

The US box office was dominated by all the previous-week releases. Bollywood movie "Shaandaar" remained the top movie among Indian movies at the US last weekend too by raking in $70,291 (Rs 46.02 lakh) from 107 screens. In the opening weekend, it had minted $336,304 (2.18 crore) from 136 screens. The total collection of the film by the end of second weekend stands at $472,434 (Rs 3.09 crore).

Telugu movie "Kanche" is in the second position. It made $67,897 (Rs 44.43 lakh) from 61 screens to take its total tally to $489,701 (Rs 3.21 crore) by the end of its second weekend. It has to be noted that the total business made by this flick is higher than "Shaandaar".

"Naanum Rowdy Thaan" is in the third position at the US box office among the Indian movies. After making $178,855 (Rs 1.16 crore) in the first weekend, the Tamil movie has raked in $47,967 (Rs 31.39 lakh) from 44 screens. Till date, it has earned $244,754 (Rs 1.60 crore) and is performing well like "Shaandaar" and "Kanche".

The performance of "Naanum Rowdy Thaan" in the US has come as a big surprise as people had little hopes from this film. The interesting part of the story is that it has managed to outperform other big Tamil release "10 Endrathukulla", which has minted Rs 26.86 lakh till date.

Malayalam movie "Ennu Ninte Moidheen" (Rs 59.84 lakh business till date), Telugu films like "Rudrama Devi" (Rs 6.20 crore business till date) and "Sher" (Rs 7.70 lakh business till date), Hindi films like "Jazbaa" (Rs 1.92 crore business till date) and "Talvar" (Rs 1.85 crore business till date) and Punjabi film "Dildariyaan" (Rs 20.34 lakh business till date) are the other Indian movies, which were screened in the US last week.
