"Ek Villain" has continued the winning streak at the box office in its second week. Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor starrer action thriller has accumulated ₹92 crore till second weekend and now it's racing towards the ₹100 crore club.

The film, directed by Mohit Suri had a phenomenal second weekend with second Sunday showing tremendous growth. In its second weekend, the film earned ₹15.68 crore.

"Ek Villain" has now shattered the second weekend record of "Jai Ho" and "2 States" by fetching more than ₹15 crore.

Salman Khan's "Jai Ho" collected the highest second weekend total with ₹13.80 crore, but "2 States" broke the record by earning ₹15.53 crore. And now "Ek Villain" has the highest second weekend collection.

"Ek Villain" is now racing towards the ₹100 crore mark in India with full speed. The film requires ₹7 crore more to touch the century club. The film, which has been produced under Balaji Telefilms banner, has shattered the records of previous films directed by Suri and films produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Kapoor's highest grosser production venture was 2011 released film "The Dirty Picture" which earned ₹80 crore, but now "Ek Villain" has taken the top spot.

Similarly, Suri's highest grosser directorial film was "Aashiqui 2" released in 2013 which accumulated more than ₹70 crore, but now that record has been broken by "Ek Villain."

Meanwhile, Vidya Balan's "Bobby Jasoos" has raked in ₹7.58 crore during its first weekend. The women centric film had opened on an average note, but the collections went up during Saturday and Sunday.

On Friday, the film raked in ₹1.78 crore, Saturday ₹2.58 crore and Sunday ₹3.22 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film got overshadowed by "Ek Villain" at the box office.
