Akshay Kumar's "Singh Is Bling" will clash with Irrfan Khan starrer "Talvar" at the box office on 2 October, but there is one more film, which is likely to give tough competition to the former.

Vijay's Tamil fantasy-adventure "Puli" is releasing during Gandhi Jayanti and is touted to be the next "Baahubali - The Beginning". "Puli" has already generated huge buzz on social media with its trailer and star cast.

Keeping in mind the pre-release buzz, the distribution rights, acquired by producer Pahlaj Nihalani, were sold at a huge amount and now the film will release in massive screens across India.

"The deal was signed last week. Nihalani has acquired the Hindi theatre rights of the film and plans to release it in nearly 2,000 screens. All the versions of the film will have a simultaneous release on October 1," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

But since the film is releasing a day before "Singh Is Bling", it might overshadow Akshay's movie at the box office, and Nihalani is confident about the box office success of "Puli".

"I am confident Puli has the potential to be a major all-India success. We've dubbed the original Tamil film into Telugu and Hindi and now all three versions of Puli will open worldwide on October 1," Nihalani told Subhash K Jha.

Interestingly, "Baahubali" was released a week before Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Baijaan" in July, and it affected its box office collection in South circuits.
