Bijapur, June 20(ANI): : A four-year-old girl, who fell in a 300-feet borewell in Dyaberi village near Nagatana, Bijapur, died on Thursday. Akshata's lifeless body was brought to the surface by rescuers almost 50 hours after the child's ordeal started. The incident, which sparked a massive rescue mission, happened while Akshata was walking home on Tuesday with her father, who is a farm labourer. Bijapur district incharge minister M.B. Patil refused to give details about the girl’s death, but said that case have been filed against the officials. He reiterated that if the diggers were unable to find water after digging borewells it was their responsibility to close it as well.
