The fate of "Bones" season 11 is yet to be decided as the show is yet to be renewed for a new season. But all hopes on the show are getting cleared for yet another season, as reports indicate negotiations for new season are currently going on.

However, speculations that "Bones" has been cancelled gained momentum over the weekend when actor David Boreanaz tweeted an apparent farewell message on his Twitter account.

"Wanna thank the cast and crew of @BONESonFOX it was a great season. Family for 10 Seasons. Will always hold onto the memories. #Thanks," the message read.

Although there hasn't been any official confirmation, many believe "Bones" has been cancelled after unsuccessful cast contract negotiations.

Meanwhile, on the off-chance that the show finally gets the boot, executive producer Stephen Nathan has made sure that series finale wouldn't leave fans guessing about Booth and Brennan's future.

"It was a bit of fancy footwork, because we had to write a finale that was both a season and series finale from which we could return," Nathan told TVLine. "I don't know if you could say it's a cliffhanger, but there's a cliff. There's an emotional cliff, and a big bad from the past resurfaces in a way that is surprising."

So what should fans look forward to in the finale? Trouble between Booth and Brennan as they deal with the repercussions of Booth's gambling relapse and how it affects their marriage.

"All of our stories start to tumble over each other as we approach the end of the season. The episode where Brennan finds out she's pregnant is also the episode where Booth is having a relapse. … It's a tremendous danger to their relationship and something which, really, there's no resolution to. It's an ongoing issue," he added.

As for the other characters, there is going to be a huge arc for Angela and Hodgins, who will be re-evaluating their lives.

"Bones" season 10 finale will air on 4 June.
