Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma-Karan Johar starrer "Bombay Velvet" has been in the news ever since it went on the floors.

The film, which is scheduled to hit the screens on 15 May, had a special screening for Bollywood celebs on Friday, 1 May, at Sunny Super Sound in Mumbai.

The special screening of "Bombay Velvet" was attended by the lead stars as well as other celebs, including Rishi Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Gauri Khan, Masaba Gupta, Vikas Bahl, Neena Gupta, Madhu, Vivaan Shah, Adito Rao Hydari, Radhika Apte and many others.

Anushka, who turned 27 on Friday, was also seen celebrating her birthday with the Bollywood celebs during the event.

The Anurag Kashyap directorial, based on historian Gyan Prakash's book "Mumbai Fables", deals with the story of a boxer and an aspiring jazz singer, played by Ranbir and Anuskha.

The film also has Kay Kay Menon, Manish Choudhary, Raveena Tandon and Siddharth Basu in pivotal roles and interestingly, Karan Johar, who is known for directing some of the evergreen romantic films in Bollywood, will be seen as a bad-man in the upcoming crime drama.
