The Frankfurt Motor show is one of the car industrys major events held in Germany, the home of many car developers. Krueger, the CEO of Munich-based BMW was taken off stage by two assistants after collapsing and the company put an end to the press meeting.

IBTimes UK reached out to BMWs press office, and a spokesman could confirm that Krüger is in stable condition. He was able to walk off stage, although helped by two men.

The spokesman, Max-Morten Borgmann, said in a statement: At the BMW Group Press Conference the Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW Group, Harald Krüger, experienced a moment of dizziness.

As a result, the Press Conference was cancelled in order that Mr Krüger could be examined by a doctor. Mr Krügers health is stable and he is recovering well.

According to BMW, Mr Krüger was feeling unwell ahead of the conference. He presented the new BMW 7 Series Sedan at the popular car show.
