The dramatic price-cut on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone hints that the the launch of the BlackBerry Z30 in India is just around the corner.

Popular online sellers in India have slashed the price of BlackBerry Z10 close to ₹29,600, almost a ₹13,000 reduction in the MRP rate of ₹43,490.

E-retailers Saholic and Infibeam are now selling the BlackBerry device with a discount of around ₹35,700. Other online shops like Snapdeal and Flipkart are offering it for much lesser price close to ₹29,600.

Last week, the company unveiled its first ever phablet BlackBerry Z30. It flaunts a 5.0-inch super AMOLED HD display and packs 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor powered by a high-capacity 2880 mAh battery.

The company has confirmed to launch the new BlackBerry Z30 in the UK and Middle East this week. However, the sudden price-cut of Z10 in India has led many to believe that the subcontinent may also get shipments of the new BlackBerry flagship phablet soon.

BlackBerry recently announced that it incurred losses of around $930-$960 million in writing-off unsold inventory charges due to the lackluster appeal of Z10 in the market.

Tech critics around the world heaped praise on BlackBerry Z10 for its smooth and refreshing interface, during its launch in January. Despite getting good reviews, it failed to garner attention from common consumers. Many believed that part of the blame must go to the company's bizarre pricing strategy. BlackBerry Z10 held a hefty price-tag of ₹43,490 in India during its launch.

BlackBerry Z10 sports a 4.2-inch HD (1280x768p) display with pixel density of 356 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on BB 10 OS powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory(expandable up to 32GB). It houses an 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear side and 2.0-megapixel camera on the front.
