On Tuesday, BlackBerry released three photos of the security-enhanced Android smartphone, which is expected to debut later this year. According to the company's CEO John Chen, PRIV synonyms with "privacy and privilege" without compromising on the extensive features of Android platform such as a wide range of apps and the most secure experience.

Chen is optimistic about PRIV's debut in the highly-competitive market. The upcoming flagship is expected to generate "modest sequential revenue growth" in the quarters to come. With the release of Android-powered device, BlackBerry is not letting go of its BB10 OS, and update BB 10.3.3 is expected to rollout in March 2016.
