Lucknow, June 30 (ANI): The youth wing of the BJP protested outside the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Monday against the failing law and order situation and power crisis in the state. Police lathi charged the protesters and used water canons and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Many were injured and later taken to hospital for medical attention. The routes leading to the UP Vidhan Sabha have been cordoned off to avert the protests from further escalation. The state Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav led government is on the backfire due to rising crime against women and power crisis. Meanwhile, state BJP President Laxmikant Bajpai condemned the action and said that the party won't step back.
