New Delhi, Feb 2 (ANI): BJP leaders Harsh Vardhan and Vijay Goel on Sunday staged a protest against the death of a 19-year-old student from Arunachal Pradesh, Nido Taniam. Taniam, the son of an Arunachal Pradesh Congress MLA, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, a day after being beaten up by two shopkeepers at Lajpat Nagar-1 market. BJP leader Harsh Vardhan said that he wrote a letter to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister asking for better security for students from the Northeast. BJP President Vijay Goel also said that the death of an Arunachal student is saddening and added that the government must open counseling centers for the north eastern students.
