Bollywood actors Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover are set to tie the knot on April 30. A few days ago, the duo released a joint statement, in which they announced the wedding date.

"We are happy to finally share the good news with everyone. 30th April 2016 is the big day and we cannot thank our family, friends, fans and well wishers enough for all their love and support. The wedding will be a private intimate affair. Our deepest gratitude for respecting our privacy this far. We hope to have your continued blessings and warm wishes as we embark on this new journey together," Karan and Bipasha shared the post on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Karan and Bipasha had a bachelor party. Karan went to Goa with his pack of boys, while Bipasha's bachelorette party was like every girl's dream. In fact, Karan surprised his lady love on her bridal shower and the actress posted the picture on social media.

Now, the lovebirds are tying the knot in a week's time. Bipasha is taking care of every single detail of her big day. "She wants everything in the wedding to be a surprise, even for Karan. Bipasha is personally taking care of every minute detail of the main function. Her parents (who flew down from Kolkata just a few days ago) are helping her with the arrangements," the Times of India quoted a source as saying.

Here are a few details of Karan and Bipasha's wedding, which will be an intimate affair:

Combined Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony

The mehendi-sangeet function will be combined and it will take place on April 29 at Villa 69, a lounge bar in Juhu. The haldi ceremony will take place on the morning of the wedding, i.e., on April 30.

Bengali-style wedding

The Bong beauty will tie the knot with Karan in a typical Bengali style. Bipasha will be dressed as a traditional Bengali bride, while the Punjabi groom Karan will be seen wearing a white dhoti and topor.

Wedding reception

The couple will not have a reception, instead will have a small celebration on the night of the wedding with close friends and family. "They will instead be having a low-key party on the night of the wedding. It will be an intimate get-together with the couple's closest friends coming down to make their big day special," the source told TOI.
