Salman Khan launched the much-awaited show "Bigg Boss 9", also called as "Bigg Boss Double Trouble", on Monday night in Mumbai.

The press conference was held in Mumbai to launch the controversial reality show "Bigg Boss 9", which was attended by Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors TV, Will Yang, Branding Director of OPPO, Jaikishin Chhaproo, Head Media at Snapdeal and Deepak Dhar, Managing Director of Endemol.

"Bigg Boss" ex-contestants, including Rajeev Paul, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Puneet Issar, Pritam Singh, Urvashi Dholakia, Ali Quli Mirza, Karishma Kotak and Praneet Bhatt also attended the show launch.

In the press conference, Salman didn't fail to entertain the media with his witty one-liners.

The show started with these four lines picked from a Hindi song 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Dono Mile Iss Tarah, Aur Jo Tann Mann Mein Ho Raha Hain, Double Trouble Hona Hi Tha...'

Later, the former contestants performed, but it was "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor Salman who stole the limelight. Salman made a "Dabangg" entry on stage on his own track, "Main Hoon Hero Tera."

During the press conference, he asked the ex-contestants about the troubles they faced during their seasons. He even answered questions about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan's appearance on the show to promote their films.

Salman along with Raj Nayak and Deepak discussed about the theme of "Bigg Boss 9".

"My trouble started in April when my wife, daughter and even my driver started to ask me whether Salman will be hosting the show this time as well. But the actual trouble began when we started to approach Salman," Raj Nayak said.

This is the sixth time that Salman is hosting "Bigg Boss". Last season, the actor had quit the show in the middle which was later hosted by Farah Khan. But, the actor is back in "Bigg Boss Nau" and this time with 'Double Trouble'.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the new season and Salman's latest flick "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will premiere on television on the same day, i.e., on 11 October.
