The Shah Rukh-Salman rivalry has been on for close to 7 years. With both the actors avoiding each other at public events and award ceremonies, it was confirmed that two shared a massive level of discomfort with each other.

But, ever since Baba Siddiqui's Iftar party last year, the equation has taken a positive turn. The two superstars hugged it out at the Iftar party this year as well. Post the event, Salman reportedly went on to say that SRK would make for a good host for "Bigg Boss 8".

Now that the reports claim Salman's return on the show, will the two actors leave their past behind and promote "Happy New Year" or will SRK turn down the opportunity to talk about his Diwali release on the show? While the question remains to be answered, the Times of India puts out a list of celebrities who may or may not promote their films on television's biggest reality show ever.

Aamir Khan, who has never been on a TV show to promote any of his films, was floored by a polite gesture made by Salman. "I recently messaged Salman saying I am sending you my hat... please wear it at some event, it will help us but I didn't know he will wear it directly in 'Bigg Boss'... this shows his generosity. It's not his film, still he is helping us so much. I love Salman Khan for this," TOI quoted Aamir at a press conference. It will be interesting to see if Aamir promotes "P.K" any differently this time.

Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang" is slated for release on October 2. While Roshan's equation with Khan is not known, Kaif shares a romantic past with the host. "Bigg Boss" is one of the biggest TRP churners, and to promote a film on the show would mean reaching out to a wider audience. Considering Kaif has done a film ("Ek Tha Tiger") with Khan post break-up, film promotion shouldn't be a big reason to worry.

Ranbir Kapoor, who once took a dig at Salman Khan during an award ceremony, has been making headlines for paparazzi images of him and Kaif. Will he be on the show to promote "Bombay Velvet"? If yes, it would definitely make for an interesting episode.

Abhishek Bachchan, who is married to Khan's ex-flame Aishwarya Rai, consciously avoids any interaction with the superstar. However, there has been no news of the two engaging in a displeasing conversation ever. As part of "Happy New Year" cast, Bachchan would need to promote as much as required. Will he pick "Bigg Boss 8" as one of his platforms? Only time will tell.

Anurag Kashyap and Govinda, who once featured in a David Dhawan film "Partner" with Khan, are two other celebrities who might promote their films.
