After a few weeks of no new episodes, "The Big Bang Theory" will finally air episode 13 titled "The Anxiety Optimization" on Thursday, 29 January.

The episode will see Sheldon enlisting his friends' help to improve his work performance, and Howard will devise a new "Emily V Cinnamon game," which will have his friends guessing whether Raj's random comments are about Emily or his dog. Raj later wants the others to stop playing it, fearing it would hurt Emily's feelings. But they refuse to do so, and this prompts Emily to pay them a visit at Caltech, spoilers indicate.

The preview of Thursday's episode doesn't give away much, but it shows Bernadette sitting on Sheldon's spot on the couch. As fans of "The Big Bang Theory" know, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) does not allow anyone else to sit on his spot on the couch, which he describes as "the singular location in space around which revolves my entire universe."

Actor Simon Helberg, who plays Howard Wolowitz on CBS' "The Big Bang Theory," recently opened up about Sheldon's infamous spot, saying the studio that films the show is equally protective of the seat cushion.

"The cushion that [Parsons] sits on, which probably will be in the Smithsonian someday, Sheldon's spot, they actually swap out that cushion during our rehearsal," Helberg told HuffPost Live. "So the whole week, until the few hours that we tape, there is an alternate cushion."

"God forbid something gets spilled on that cushion -- that show, the ratings would plummet," he said. "So they hide this cushion somewhere. And there's probably like a Brinks truck [with] just a bunch of armed guards there waiting until Tuesday night … just so that we can rub our butts on it."

Season 8 Episode 13 will air on CBS on 29 January at 8pm.
