The selectors have announced the India A squad for the series against Bangladesh A. Shikhar Dhawan has been named as the skipper of the India A squad for one of the three unofficial Test matches.

Suresh Raina will feature in the 50-over squad against Bangladesh A. Raina has been training hard for the upcoming series against South Africa. Recently, he came back from Netherlands where he trained for almost a month. And now, he will be getting come much-needed match practice ahead of the T20 series against South Africa, the first of which will be played in Dharamsala on 2 October.

Varun Aaron has been named in the three-day unofficial Test squad. He was dropped after the first Test against Sri Lanka, where he turned out to be expensive and as a result he had to make way for Umesh Yadav.

Surprisingly, Ravindra Jadeja will be featuring in the Test squad as well, and it is clear that he is still in the minds of the Indian selectors. The position for the third spinning all-rounder in the longer format of the game is up for grabs after a disappointing performance from Harbhajan Singh. This will be a good opportunity for Jadeja to give his best and make his way back into the senior squad for the Test matches against South Africa in the month of November.

Karnataka batsman Karun Nair has had a good season so far and he has been named in both the three-day unofficial Test squad and in the 50-over squads against Bangladesh A.

The limited-overs squad will be led by Unmukt Chand, despite Raina's presence in the India A side. Kedar Jadhav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Manish Pandey and Sanju Samson are the other notable names in the side. Karn Sharma too makes a comeback after he addressed his injury problems.

The three matches will be played on 16, 18, and 20 September. All of these games will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The second three-day unofficial Test match will also be played at the same venue from 27-29 September. The first three-day match will be played in Mysore from 22-24 September.
