Battlefield Hardline's Robbery DLC
Battlefield Hardline's Robbery

Even though it has been a while since EA DICE and Visceral Games released Battlefield Hardline, the companies have supported the game via a number of updates and regular DLC push-outs. Now it seems the game's next big expansion, Robbery, has just been announced.

Battlefield Hardline's upcoming Robbery DLC expansion, which is due this September with early access for Battlefield Premium members, will arrive with a number of new features, the most significant of whom being a new 5v5 game mode.

"After getting organized in Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity, the top gangs are drawing up plans, stockpiling gear, and risking it all to pull off the boldest, craziest heists ever in Battlefield Hardline: Robbery, the second expansion pack for Battlefield Hardline," says the official post for the DLC.

"The theme of this pack is the Big Score: how to steal it, or how to stop it. The new maps and game mode in Battlefield Hardline: Robbery are designed to let criminal teams plan and execute the perfect heist; or, for law enforcement, to get the crooks in cuffs before they can pull it off."

According to the official site, here's everything the Robbery DLC will add:

  • Four expansive maps: The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum, and Precinct 7
  • New 5v5 game mode: Squad Heist
  • 4 new weapons
  • 2 new gadgets
  • 2 new factional vehicles and new vehicle upgrades
  • New camos and vehicle paints
  • The Legendary Super Feature

As far as the 5v5 Squad Heist mode is concerned, the company says it has been built as "homage to the beloved Squad Rush in Battlefield 4," and "combines the combat of Battlefield with the intimate fantasy of a classic heist."

The Squad Heist mode is spread across three distinct stages:

  • Criminals take a Drill, break into Vault 1, and grab the Loot from the vault.
  • Criminals take a Drill, break into Vault 2, and grab the Loot from the vault.
  • Criminals run to an escape location, call a helicopter, and get the loot to safety.

For the mode, at each stage, the robbers will be allotted 25 deploy tickets. If players lose them all, it will be game over for the thieves.

Battlefield Hardline's Robbery DLC, as mentioned earlier, will be available for Early Access for Battlefield Hardline Premium members in September 2015.

Stay tuned for more updates!
