DICE has accepted the requests of Battlefield 4 community and has announced a new night map, known as Night Operations, that will be rolled out in September 2015.

Battlefield 4 players will get a new night map featuring lights that can be destroyed, new sounds suiting the night landscape, a gameplay designed for nocturnal military operation.

DICE drew its inspiration from Zavod 311 map and created a new map, Zavod: Graveyard Shift. This new map has been designed to make room for a stealthy and tactical gameplay.

It will see a lot of changes and improvements, namely the passive/active spotting that will help in outflanking the enemy. Now, players will also be able to locate the enemy by their footsteps, thanks to the improved sound system.

A new tweak from the studio lets the gadgets shine in the night light but not so during the day light.

This will also bring in a slew of new features to the game especially with respect to a "new public server team balancer, some weapons tweaks, and additional netcode improvements," said the Battlelog post.

DICE also noted that this map will be playable using all the standard game modes present in Battlefield 4. It also added that the Gun Master mode will have a secondary layout, customised for night pursuit, and will see the addition of a special new Weapons Preset. This is a first for the developer.

Battlefield 4 was released in October 2013 and was initially broken only to be fixed later. It was later improved too.
