Batman: Arkham Knight is expected to be one of the major releases of the year and is said to be the biggest and best, compared to the previous Batman titles in the Arkham series. And one of the major features of the new game is its revolutionary Dual Play mode, which has now received more details.

In the newest edition of Arkham Insider, Rocksteady's weekly series of videos, where they discuss stuff about the new game, the developer has continued to focus on the game's Dual Play mode. The video provides an explanation from the devs as to why they chose the GTA 5-esqe Dual Play mode for the new game.

WARNING: Report contains spoilers for Batman: Arkham City. If you haven't played the game, you might want to overlook the video (find below).

The new video from Arkham Insider points out how well the Dual Play mode has been incorporated into Arkham Knight. With the mode, players can switch between characters any time they want in the game.

However, even though players switch characters, they can still maintain the same controller mapping for all the characters, which will also keep the combo controls same across all the characters.

"You can seamlessly switch between the two characters, whether it's Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman," lead scriptwriter Martin Lancaster said earlier, explaining how the Dual Play mode will allow you to call in assistance from Batman's allies in both combat and predator mode. "It's fantastic because we're able to build these relationships, not just through the cinematic sequences, but right through the gameplay through every aspect of the game."

While the new video shows Batman partnering with Nightwing, Rocksteady has already confirmed that the likes of Catwoman and Batgirl will also be available as Bat's partners during the course of the game. You can check out the video below.

Batman: Arkham Knight is currently set to be launched for Xbox One, PS4, and PC next month.
