Until recently, George Clooney and Amal Alammuddin's marriage seemed perfect. They have gone on long bike rides, wined and dined like most celebrity couples and currently, relaxing in Italy.

George seems smitten by his lawyer wife and is making every effort to give his marriage a semblance of security and stability. However, recent reports suggest that Amal is insecure about George's playboy past and the couple could be headed for divorce.

According to the Inquisitr, George is planning to sell properties that remind Amal of his ex girlfriends. In particular, the actor plans to sell his villa in Italy, the beach house in Cabo, his apartment in New York City and his house in Los Angeles.

An insider told OK! Magazine, "Those houses hold a lot of happy memories for George, but she hates the thought of sleeping in the same rooms as his former lovers."

The magazine claims that the two argued when Amal found a few items belonging to George's ex, Elisabetta Canalis, in his Lake Como villa in Italy.

Celeb Dirty Laundry estimates that the sell off will enrich George by a $100 million.

Even as news of disharmony between the two has pervaded the media, the couple was seen sharing a few intimate moments in Lake Como just a few days ago.

An article on Inquisitr states that the couple's friend Kathy Lee has reportedly used them as inspiration for her book, "Courting Trouble".

Far from what the title suggests, the writer says, "watching George and Amal is entertaining. Interacting with them is like 'watching a rom-com in front of you." (via Inquisitr).

Amal and George are vacationing in Italy at the moment.
