US President Barack Obama is all set to join TV personality and the most popular survival expert on television Bear Grylls for a special edition of 'Running Wild' with Bear Grylls on NBC.

And ever since this news broke, media and the Internet have gone crazy and are waiting to know how the President survives the life in wilderness.

When NBC announced that Obama will appear in a special episode of the adventure series in the future and that he will shoot for the same during his trip to Alaska, there were many unanswered questions running through people's minds.

Will the President drink his own urine? Will he be able to pull off all those survival skills that Grylls teaches on his show? These are just a few questions that have got people really curious about this special episode.

In fact, a petition has been filed demanding that the President drink his own urine. The petition which is posted on White House's We The People website, reads: "If there's one thing we all know about Bear Grylls' techniques, it's that they mostly involve drinking his own urine. And so: We ask that Obama do the right thing and drink his own urine during a taping of Running Wild with Bear Grylls. For science. The people demand it."

And it looks like Obama has already embarked on this outdoor adventure with Bear Grylls. At least, that's what his latest selfie suggests. The US President took a selfie with this survival expert while shooting for the episode.

He captioned the photo, posted on the White House Instagram account, as: "Was such a privilege to adventure with you! Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park."

The president reportedly spent three days with the adventurer, trekked through the wilderness and even visited the Exit Glacier.

According to SMH, Obama will be travelling with Grylls to observe the climatic changes in the US' north-most state and to test his wilderness skills. This special episode of "Running Wild", the report said, will be aired later this year.

But there's someone who is not very convinced with Obama's wild expedition. Apparently, after the details of the president's trip were officially released, TV host Jimmy Kimmel took pot shots at Obama's collaboration with Bear Grylls.

"This is a show on which celebrities eat mice and squirrel and drink bodily fluids. In this one, the President teaches us how to survive alone in the wilderness, surrounded by 14 Secret Service agents disguised as trees. Bear Grylls and President Obama will trek through the forest together. Eating roots and berries – which is basically what his wife already makes him eat," Kimmel said.

What the President does and doesn't  is something we will know only when the special episode of "Running Wild" with Bear Grylls featuring Barack Obama gets aired later this year.
