Dhaka, Aug 15 (ANI): Hundreds of Bangladeshis paid their respects to the country's founding leader, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Friday (August 15), who was killed by a group of army officers 39 years ago, along with most of his family. Events begun at sunrise on Friday, a national holiday in the country, with the national flag flown at a half-mast as hundreds of Bangladeshis waited in line to pay their respects to their former leader. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is one of Mujibur's daughters, visited a memorial in Dhaka to pay her respects, before visiting the Banani Graveyard where her family members are buried. Members of the political establishment were also present to pay their respects.
