Dhaka, Aug 14 (ANI): Bangladesh academician, Syed Anwar Husain remembered founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, for his significant contribution in the country’s fight for an independent state, as the nation mourns his assassination during an army coup in 1975. Mujibur, or Mujib as he was popularly called, was killed along with most of his family members in a 1975 revolt by young army officers. One of his two surviving daughters, Sheikh Hasina, is now the country's prime minister. The city streets are full of posters and banners bearing Rahman’s photographs. On Wednesday, Husain also lauded Rahman for his efforts in the emergence of Bangladesh as an independent nation.
