Dhaka, Dec 19 (ANI): Bangladesh academician, Syed Anwar Hossain hailed the execution of Islamist leader Abdul Quader Molla for war crimes committed during 1971 liberation war, while he also maintained that other perpetrators of the heinous crimes should be tried. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Molla was hanged on December 12 in the first war crimes execution in Bangladesh. The 1971 war, in which an estimated three million people died in nine months, is a festering wound not only for those personally affected, but also for many young Bangladeshis.
