Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was released six days after SS Rajamouli's film "Baahubali - The Beginning" (Bahubali), but still the film managed to take the lead at the worldwide box office.

Salman starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" gross box office collection till 12 days stands at Rs 477 crore, which includes domestic gross income of Rs 349.8 crore (net Rs 259.12 crore) and Rs 128 crore from the overseas market, according to Koimoi.com.

The gross income of "Bajrang Bhaijaan" is the highest of this year's beating "Baahubali", which earned Rs 450 crore gross income worldwide in 20 days. Interestingly, Salman's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" took just 12 days to earn more than "Baahubali" 20-day income and beat its record. [Read: Baahubali Earns Rs 450 Crore in 20 Days]

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" also shattered the records of Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express". The lifetime gross box office collection of "Chennai Express" is Rs 423 crore.
Salman starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is now the third all-time highest grosser movie in India, followed by "Baahubali".

Overseas box office

Kabir Khan's directorial film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has crossed $20 million (Rs 128 crore) mark at the overseas box office. Salman's film dominates in India, whereas in overseas market Shah Rukh has the maximum number of top grossers. But "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has put Salman amongst the top four grossers in the overseas box office.

"#BajrangiBhaijaan Overseas crosses the magical number of $ 20 mn [₹ 128 cr]. FABULOUS!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
