'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' 11-Day Box Office Collection: Salman Starrer Becomes 3rd Highest Bollywood Grosser; Set to Beat Aamir's 'Dhoom 3'

Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has become the third highest grosser Bollywood film of all time, after "PK" and "Dhoom 3".

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" shattered the lifetime box office collection record of Hrithik Roshan's "Krrish 3" with its 11-day domestic net earnings. "Krrish 3", which was released in 2013 during Diwali, earned Rs 244.92 crore from its theatrical run.

"#BajrangiBhaijaan continues its PHENOMENAL run... Is now the 3rd HIGHEST grosser ever, after #PK and #Dhoom3 [India biz]... SUPERB!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"#BajrangiBhaijaan remains SUPER-STRONG. [Week 2] Fri 12.80 cr, Sat 19.25 cr, Sun 24.05 cr, Mon 9.30 cr. Total: ₹ 250.02 cr. ATBB," he added.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" also crossed the Rs 250 crore mark at the domestic box office with its net income and is heading towards "Dhoom 3" lifetime earnings.

After earning more than Rs 50 crore in its second weekend, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" went on to collect more than Rs 9 crore on its second Monday. The film is holding well at the collection centers worldwide despite being a non-holiday period.

Generally, during Diwali and Christmas, films tend to do well at the box office due to holidays, but "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" success has changed the trend.

"Bajrangi created a new record for highest first week collection with Rs 184 crore and by the ninth day of its release, it crossed the Rs 200-crore club. The second weekend numbers are also the highest for any Hindi film. Now, we have to wait and see if it can cross the lifetime business of Aamir Khan's 'pk', which collected over Rs 300 crore in the country," trade analyst Amod Mehra told Mid-Day.
