Bajaj Auto had restricted the supply of Pulsar 200NS from mid-2015 in order to make way for newer models such as the Pulsar AS200 and the Pulsar RS200. The naked street version of the Pulsar is reportedly getting readied for a relaunch with fuel injected engine.

The current Pulsar NS200 is powered by the 199.5 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that develops 23.1bhp at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm at 8,000rpm. The same engine in Pulsar RS200 with fuel injection in place develops 24bhp at 9,750rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8,000rpm mated to six-speed manual transmission. At present, it is not clear which of these specifications would be used in new Pulsar NS200, reports IndianAutosBlog.

To complement the changes in the powertrain, the new Pulsar NS200 is also expected with different graphics. Additional colour options that include some dual-tone paints are also expected. The launch can be expected in early 2016. The Bajaj Auto has confirmed that they will not participate in the Auto Expo 2016 in February. Hence, the launch can be expected in January.
