Two wheeler lovers in the country will see the launch of Bajaj's next Discover bike 150S in the next couple of days. The dealers of Bajaj have started receiving the bikes from the company and the bookings are also open in India with a token amount of ₹500, according to a new report.
Bajaj Discover 150 S is expected to hit the domestic market in two variants - one with regular drum brakes and the second one with front disc brake, as reported by IndianAutosBlog. Although the company has not talked about the pricing and the specifications of its new offering publicly, rumours are that the bike will get its power from a 150cc four-valve air-cooled motor, which can generate an output of 15.06PS and 12.5Nm. The Bajaj Discover F150 is expected to accommodate features like disc brakes, monoshock suspension at the rear and both electric and kick starter.
Bajaj's new addition to its Discover series is likely to fall in the price brackets of ₹55,000–₹65,000 (ex-showroom) and when launched, it will be pegged against Honda CB Unicorn and Yamaha SZ Series in India. The bike is also likely to get a semi-faired version dubbed as Discover 150 F in the coming months.
Apart from the Discover series, the two wheeler lovers in India are expecting a series of Pulsar launches from Bajaj, which includes Pulsar 150NS, Pulsar 200SS, Pulsar SS400 and Pulsar CS400.
Bajaj Pulsar 200SS has been on test in the country for quite some time now. Although the launch of the bike is not known yet, the repeated sightings tell us that the launch could happen soon. The upcoming Pulsar 200SS, the fully faired version of Pulsar 200NS is expected to pack the retuned version of four-stroke, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine of 200NS. It is powered by an engine, which has an output of 23.65 bhp and a torque of 18.3 Nm.
Bajaj's Pulsar 150NS, a smaller sibling of pulsar 200NS was also caught on test in India. Bajaj Pulsar 150NS is speculated to get features like aluminium number plate holder and a split grab rail along with 100/90 cross section rear tyre and single seat.
The other two Pulsar bikes, Pulsar SS400 (Super Sport 400) and Pulsar CS400 (Cruiser Sport 400) are likely to see the light early next year. The bikes will follow the design philosophy of KTM Duke 390 and comes with 375cc liquid-cooled, four-valve triple spark engine. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission with fuel injection.
