As per the details available on BookMyShow, almost all the tickets for the six shows have been pre-booked. The houseful premiere show starts at 4 am, and the tickets for the next screening at 7 am have also been sold out. At the time of reporting (4 pm), 32 seats are available for 10:30 am show, while 149, 84 and 6 number of seats were yet to be sold for the screenings at 2:15 pm, 6 pm and 9:45 pm, respectively and they will be full very soon.

Number of seats and rates

Rs 500 - 302 seats = Rs 1,51,000
Rs 600 - 120 seats = Rs 72,000
Rs 400 - 678 seats = Rs 2,71,200

Therefore, from a single show, the theatre gets Rs 4,94,200, which takes that to a total of approximately Rs 30 lakh from six shows on the first day at Urvashi theatre alone. Can you believe this? Meanwhile, this Bengaluru theatre will have four shows each on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with same ticket rates.

But how can a theatre charge this huge rate for tickets?

Karnataka government, it is high time to bring the ticket price capping to Rs 200, which was announced during the budget presentation, into effect immediately. Because, there are many others too, who are not able to shell out a lot of money for a movie like this.
