Much-awaited film "Badlapur" hit theatres on 20 February, but a special screening was held the day before at PVR Juhu, Mumbai.
On Thursday evening, several celebrities including Sonakshi Sinha, Nargis Fakhri, Divya Dutta, Yami Gautam, Nawazuddin Siddqui, and of course, the star of the show, Varun Dhawan were seen at the special screening.
"Badlapur" has received rave reviews from critics and is said to be a must watch. Varun too has been lauded for his intense performance. However, there are a few reviewers who have noted that the first half of the film is engaging and enjoyable, but the second half is disappointing.
The lead actors' performances are the main highlights of the movie. Its brilliant production value, music, cinematography and action choreography are the main big attractions in the technical front.
In the Sriram Raghavan directorial, Dhawan is seen in a new avatar. He has shed his chocolate-boy image and dons a completely different look.
The action thriller also features Huma Qureshi, Siddiqui, Divya Dutta, Vinay Pathak and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.
Several celebs who watched the flick have congratulated and praised the film on their micro-blogging sites.
