A lot has changed since "Baby Daddy" went on a break following the Season 4 finale episode "It's a Nice Day for a Wheeler Wedding", most noticeable of which is that its network ABC Family is now known as Freeform. The one thing that has not changed, however, is fans' interest in knowing Riley's (Chelsea Kane) answer to Danny's (Derek Theler) proposal.
In the Season 4 finale, Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) and Brad (Peter Porte) decided to postpone their wedding after too many things went wrong. However, Bonnie's older son seized the opportunity and using all the wedding props to his advantage asked his long-time love Riley to marry him.
Although Riley had also declared her love for him, she looked a little doubtful, and so her response is going to be a huge reveal in the Season 5 premiere. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend and Danny's brother Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) is now single and has no chance of getting back together with Riley.

Team Ben fans, however, need not worry, because he is soon getting a love interest. A new character called Sam, a girl who joins as the new manager for the Bar, will be introduced in the upcoming season. She also reportedly went to high school with Ben, Danny and Riley, and was not very nice to Riley during the time. However, Ben — who was also not very nice to Riley when they were growing up — used to have a crush on her.
Allie Gonnino of "The Lying Game" fame was initially cast as Sam, but "Victorious" star Daniella Monet has now replaced her. If not in Episode 1 "Love and Carriage", she will debut in "Baby Daddy" in one of the earlier episodes of Season 5.
Following her tenure in Nickelodeon's "Victorious", Monet has appeared in "Fred: The Show" as the recurring character Bertha after Jennette McCurdy left the show, "Melissa & Joey", "Lazy Town" and "See Dad Run". She is a vegan and regularly posts videos of vegan recipes on her YouTube channel.
