Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif's "Baar Baar Dekho" has opened well at the worldwide box office and is expected to show decent growth over the weekend. The Nitya Mehra-directed film is expected to cash in on the Eid Al-Adha partial holiday in select few circuits across the globe.

As per reports, "Baar Baar Dekho" has collected Rs. 5.20 crore gross (Thursday + Friday) at the overseas box office and raked in Rs. 21.31 crore (approx.) gross in 2 days (Friday + Saturday) at the Indian box office, taking its worldwide box office gross total to Rs. 26.51 crore.

The uniquely-packaged love story is being loved and appreciated in the USA and Gulf. Hopefully, numbers from other areas will witness a jump over the weekend.

The overseas box office circuit-wise breakup: UAE $400k, USA $200k, UK £54k, Aus A$43k and Pak $75k.

"Baar Baar Dekho" was released in approximately 2,600 screens worldwide and made on a modest budget of Rs. 50 crore. And, the good news is, the romantic-drama has recovered more than half of its production cost through satellite and music rights and has already broken even.

"Baar Baar Dekho" is a film with high star value, but the question is whether two popular stars are enough to drive a film to the finish line? The film hasn't opened at the box office as predicted and it has to show solid growth over the weekend if it wishes for impressive opening weekend figures.

However, the lukewarm reviews and not-so-positive word-of-mouth may stunt the growth of "Baar Baar Dekho." Also, coming week will see two important releases – "Pink" and "Raaz Reboot." Because they are two very different genres targetting niche audience, the films do not pose great threat to "Baar Baar Dekho." However, it will end up losing screen count to them.

The box office performance of "Baar Baar Dekho" is crucial to Katrina's career as she is coming from two back-to-back flops - "Fitoor" and "Phantom." The leading lady's winning streak ended with Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Bang Bang."
