Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif's "Baar Baar Dekho" is likely to witness a grand opening at the Indian as well as overseas box office on Friday, Sept. 9. The film is expected to beat the opening day Indian box office collection record of Sidharth's "Brothers," which also starred Akshay Kumar.

The songs, trailer and posters of "Baar Baar Dekho" have been creating a huge buzz. The chart-buster song "Kala Chashma" has turned out to be one of the most popular foot-tapping party numbers in recent times, making movie buffs eagerly wait for the film to hit theatres.

The sizzling chemistry between Sidharth and Katrina is a major highlight of the film. Directed by Nitya Mehra and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani, the film was surrounded by unique promotional strategies that are expected to work in its favour.

While Karan Johar's production venture "Brothers" had made Rs. 15.20 crore at the domestic market on its opening day, going by the hype around "Baar Baar Dekho," it seems to have the potential to outdo the opening day box office collection of the Sidharth and Akshay-starrer, "Brothers."

"Baar Baar Dekho" is a romantic film based on the concept of time-travel. This is the first time Sidharth and Katrina will be seen together on screen.

Katrina's previous two films — "Fitoor" and "Phantom" — failed to impress the audience. However, the actress is confident about "Baar Baar Dekho." "My previous release, Fitoor was not very well received at the box office and that was definitely heart breaking. This makes all the more important to me that I once again come with a strong film that gets audiences' love," Katrina told Firstpost.
