Prabhas' Baahubali 2 (Bahubali: The Conclusion) has taken the worldwide box office by the storm in the first week. The movie has collected Rs 900 crore gross in the global market in seven days.

Before its release, Baahubali 2 had a massive hype and promotion and the question "why Kattappa killed Baahubali?" soared up the viewers' curiosity. In bid to cash in on Baahubali mania, the distributors released the film in over 8,000 screens around the world on April 28. The movie registered a record amount of advance booking and many screens had sold out all the tickets for its first day, a day before its release.

Baahubali 2 was premiered in 3,000+ screens around the world on Thursday, May 4, and it set a new record, by grossing Rs 50 crore in paid previews. Having a huge advance booking, the film ran in packed houses everywhere on its opening day and collected Rs 212 crore gross (including premieres' collection) at the worldwide box office. It also became the first Indian film to cross the mark of Rs 200 crore on its first day.

The SS Rajamouli-directed film garnered positive response from the audience and the strong word of mouth helped it go on record-breaking spree. Baahubali 2 collected Rs 510 crore at the worldwide box office in the first weekend and emerged as the first Indian film to cross Rs 500-crore mark in the global market in just three days.

With Monday (May 1) being holiday, the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer held rock-steady at the ticket counters. Baahubali 2 collected Rs 115+ crore at the global box office on Monday, taking its four-day total collection to Rs 625 crore in the worldwide market. The film shattered the lifetime record of its sequel – Bahubali: The Beginning (Rs 600+ crore) and became the third all time highest-grossing Indian film.

Baahubali 2 witnessed drop of 50 percent in its collection on Tuesday, May 2, which was a working day but it remained strong on the next two days. Baahubali 2 has collected approximately Rs 262 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the weekdays.

But as per Bollywood Hungama report, its Hindi version has raked Rs 335 crore gross at the Indian box office, while its Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam raked in Rs 387 crore. All the four versions have together collected Rs 165 crore at the overseas box office in 7 days. Baahubali 2 has collected Rs 887 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first week. When the makers reveal the final number, the film is likely to cross the mark of Rs 900 crore.

In seven days, Bahubali 2 has shattered the lifetime records of Aamir Khan's PK and Dangal, which raked in Rs 792 crore gross and Rs 730 crore gross, respectively, in the global market in their complete theatrical run. Now, the Prabhas-starrer has topped the chart of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
