Azamgarh, Oct 20 (ANI): Consumption of illicit liquor in Azamgarh has claimed 35 lives and affected 68 others among whom six are still hospitalised for detoxification and treatment. A majority of the victims were labourers and daily wage earners and reportedly, they had bought the hooch sold in pouches on Thursday. Soon they felt uneasy and fell sick. The police has arrested two people for supplying the toxic stuff to local vends.
