Gone are the days of autographs, fans of today are more interested in taking a selfie with their favourite celebrity to capture the most incredible moment of the life. Even the stars go out of their way to flash a smile for their followers.

Pop singer Taylor Swift, who is known for taking countless photos with her fans, believes that autographs will be replaced by selfies in the near future.

"There are a few things I have witnessed becoming obsolete in the past few years, the first being autographs," she wrote. "I haven't been asked for an autograph since the invention of the iPhone with a front-facing camera. The only memento 'kids these days' want is a selfie," New Republic quoted Swift.

Apart from "1989" singer, Bradley Cooper, Angelina Jolie, Bill Murray, Michael Shannon, Megan Fox, Elle Fanning, Beau Mirchoff, Queen Elizabeth, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt and Lewis Hamilton are some of the celebs who love to take selfies with fans.

However, the most popular selfie of the year was not taken with fans. Ellen DeGeneres' Oscar selfie with Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Lupita N'yongo and Bradley Cooper had set a record with 871,000 retweets and 210,000 favorites in less than an hour.
