Considering its low audience count, it was believed that "Aurangzeb" would collect between ₹12.08 crore to ₹12.33 crore in the first weekend. Before rounding off the actual total, Taran had tweeted," #Aurangzeb collected Rs 12.08 cr to 12.33 cr nett in its opening weekend. Fri 3.92 cr, Sat 3.91 cr, Sun *estimates* 4.25 cr to 4.50 cr."
