The remake of the 90s' love anthem -- "Dheere Dheere Se" -- from the film "Aashiqui" has been topping the charts since its release.

IBT Media conducted a poll, asking people which version they liked better. Consequently, Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor's version emerged as the winner.

While 69.23% of the voters said they liked the Yo Yo Honey Singh's track better, 30.77% votes were garnered by Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal's version.

T-Series chief Bhushan Kumar, son of Gulshan Kumar, wanted to create the music video to pay tribute to the classic film, "Aashiqui", of the 90s as it completes 25 glorious years this year.

The entire song, which was released on 31 August, has been shot in Antalya, Turkey.

Since its release, Hrithik-Sonam's "Dheere Dheere" has garnered appreciation from all quarters, including "Aashiqui" actor Rahul Roy. The song has become so popular that it has crossed 4 million views on YouTube just within a week of its release.

The 1990 film was a superhit, which featured Rahul, Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori in pivotal roles.

The Mahesh Bhatt directorial was a blockbuster mostly because of the film's songs, which are still loved by people.

Considering the popularity of the romantic-musical flick, the remake starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor was made in 2013, and its songs also proved to be a superhit.

Meanwhile, the voice of Honey Singh and the chemistry of Hrithik and Sonam have already made the song a trending topic on social media sites.
