German Luxury car maker Audi opened the company's largest used car showroom in India at Gurgaon.

Audi Approved: Plus, the new showroom is located at Orient Bestech Business Tower, Hero Honda Chowk, NH8, Gurgaon and is spread over a total area of 26,000 sq.ft.

The showroom was launched by Joe King, Head, Audi India and Rashy Todd, Managing Director, Audi Gurgaon (Zenica Cars India Private Limited). The showroom will put the vehicles only after the cars undergo 110 multi-point checks that include mechanical, bodywork, interior and electrical inspections.

"With the rising income and increase in aspiration, the demand for pre-owned luxury cars has witnessed a significant increase. In future, we will look to start Audi Approved: Plus in markets, where Audi has a car park of more than 1000 cars," said Joe King, Head, Audi India, according to Business Standard.

Earlier last week, Audi announced that the company will hike the prices of its models in the country from May. The quantum of the hike is three percent. The price hike will take the Audi A4 to ₹33.96 lakh from the current ₹32.81 lakh and the Audi R8 model will cost more by ₹5 lakh.

Audi India which currently sells A4, A6, A8 in the passenger car segment (S6 and S4 in the performance versions of these sedans), Q3, Q5 and Q7 in the SUV segment and R8, V8 and R8 Spyder in the sports car category has posted highest ever monthly sales in March by selling 2,740 as against 1,104 in the corresponding month last year.

Audi India is also planning to expand its dealer networks to 40 in India by the end of 2014. Audi opened new showrooms in cities like Mumbai South, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Delhi Central, Karnal and Vadodara last year.
