Defending Indian Super League champions Atletico de Kolkata take on NorthEast United FC in their third home game of the season on Saturday evening at the Salt Lake Stadium in the City of Joy.

The home side are brimming with confidence going into today's game as they pulled off a stunning 4-1 win against Mumbai City FC in their previous game, which also saw Canadian forward Iain Hume score a hat-trick.

NorthEast United FC, meanwhile, have got their work cut out as they have been unable to make a make a mark in the season so far. Cesar Farias' side still stay at rock-bottom in the table and haven't won in their two previous games.

However, their 1-1 draw against Delhi Dynamos in the last game that saw marquee player Simao coming off the bench to score a world-class free-kick, must give them immense confidence going into the game.

"For us, it is a tremendous point," Farias said after the match against Delhi.

"It is one which gives us the edge, (provides opportunity) to skyrocket. And one of the most important things is that it is difficult to forget the wins or losses and move on to the next one," the Venezuelan added.

ATK have roped in their influential player Mohammad Rafique once again for the rest of the season as a replacement for Lalchhawnkima. Rafique is known for scoring the winning goal in last year's final game for Atletico de Kolkata against Kerala Blasters.

"I welcome Rafique to the squad. I feel he will continue to prove his determination to perform in the ongoing tournament alike last season. His recent performances surely have keeping him match ready. I look forward to work with him," Atletico de Kolkata coach Antonio Habas said.

Javi Lara and Arata Izumi are still out for the hosts, and so is marquee player Helder Postiga. Also, in the absence of Josemi, Tiri is expected to partner Arnab Mondal once more in the defence.

For the visitors, Cedric Hengbart has been calling the shots in the defence in the absence of Miguel Garcia, who has been sidelined for the entire tournament.
